What an evil mother I am, I must unburden my soul. Megs Headmistress has been jumping up and down recently because she has such a poor attendance record and rather alot, hmm, about 80% late attendance record so I have made a humungous effort to get the poor child in to school on time every day. I must say the melatonin has made a huge improvement in her sleeping but she still often feels sick in the morning and I just never know if it is real or not as sometimes as soon as I decide to keep her home she makes a miraculous recovery!!
Anyway, the pressure is on so on Thursday she suddenly decided she was feeling sick half way to school having been fine before. No, no i really do feel sick she kept protesting. I managed to park near the school and stood arguing with her, she did look a good colour. The school bell went and she still wouldn't get out of the car. Then everyone filed in, she still wouldn't get out so I got tough and threatened that if she didn't get out of the car I would go and get the headmistress to come and get her. And still she didn't get out. Well, once threatened you do have to carry it out so I went and got the head, who was still in the playground to come to the car. It took her five minutes but eventually a tearful Meg emerged from the car. Phew i thought and went to work, fortunately near to the school that day.
Whoops, I got it wrong, the school rang at 11 am, Megs had been sick!!!!! How embarassing!!!!! God I felt awful!!!! I really couldn't think what it might be but she did have a cheese souffle the evening before and I have always wondered about eggs so maybe it was that. Poor kid has been quite rough since so we are back on the chicken and rice.
The only plus is the head rang in the evening to see if she was oK and congratulated me on carrying it through, I'm sure they think i'm just a useless mother and my child is walking all over me. Well, she puked all over them so there he he.
