I found a goat milk yogurt but it has pectin in it. I can't find any data on pectin. Anyone? Here are the ingredients: Plain Goat Milk Yogurt Ingredients Pasteurized whole goat milk, tapioca, pectin and live, active yogurt cultures-l. bulgaricus, s. thermophilus, l. acidophilus and bifidus.

Pectin?

Pectin is a gelling agent which is made from fruit normally, although you can buy it as an ingredient for making Jams and preserves, if you do not have enough fruit or are using a low pectin variety's of fruit. I cannot be 100% certain but think it should be fine. The inclusion rate of Pectin is only going to be less than 1% so in a 125g pot there will be approximately 1.25g of pectin (although I bet its far less) If the pectin contains 4 or 5% sugar (unlikely to be this high) then the dose of sugar in the pot from the pectin will be 0.05g which is well into the safe zone for most HFI. So I suggest give it a ago. Hope this helps?

Pectin is made from apples. I have made it when I make jam for my husband.
I would bet it's a no-no.
