I need to make an birthday cake to my daughter. Actually her cousin have birthday and were invited. I will bring a safe cake to the party. Ive made the bottom and will use homemade cream. My question is what could i use to make the cake fx the pudding , how to make it. I hope i can get quick replies

There is a chocolate pudding that has dextrose and you add your own sugar. It's Dr.Oetker and comes out of Canada.

When I make a cake for Regina, I usually use the recipe's posted on here, and then I use either sugar free pudding or sugar free cool-whip as the "frosting". I then put the whole thing in the refrigerator and it sets up - gets a little hard - which makes it stick to the cake better.
Since you are making your own cream, you'll probably have to just experiment with it a little and see how it works best.
Actually, if the cake isn't too dry, she likes it best as just plain cake. We don't put anything on it.
