What a fabulous article, where do you find these articles - are you sure you work???!!
I did overhear a child at a party say once (he was about 5) "I wish I was allergic to something" as he spotted the gluten free and lactose frees getting first pick of the food!!!!!!

Although this particular one wasn't us, it could have been. I have no qualms about asking the waiter to see the box it came in so I can check the ingredients myself. It's really funny when they aren't suppose to let anyone know that it comes in a frozen box. After I keep pushing, and the manager gets involved, they always bring me a label to read. Even at the "better" places. ;D Of course sometimes I have to resort to my standard "OK, but if it contains something and she throws it up all over your table, I'm not responsible..............." lol. Do these people really think that the customers really believe that they make everything from scratch out in the kitchen? ?

I work, I swear! LOL. I have a google feed with the keyword "fructose intolerance". It sends me all the articles with that phrase, then I forward them onto you guys. Tammy, I'm always surprised--well, not at Applebee's or other mega-chains. I really wish they would make things from scratch. It would make things easier for me.

Some of our little, local places do make things from scratch, and they are great. We have our routines on what day who has what special. Regina always looks forward to Fridays for PotPie at the one place, Tues she can get her Cheeseburg in a Bisquik biscuit, and every 3rd Wed she can get Broccoli Soup. And heaven forbid if we get the week mixed up. As far as the mega-chains, I kind of like that they all use the same stuff. That way I don't have to go through it every time. If she can have it at one, she can have it at another. Actually, I prefer it. Too many times I've asked, been told no, and then when I push it, was told, oh, but it's only just a little bit........ ugh.
