It depends slightly on how sensative you are, both have fructose in them so unlikely to be "safe" but you may find you can tolerate a little. All veg have fructose in them, just some more than others therefore if you are very sensative you can't tolerate any, but if you are less sensative you get away with a bit.

Pumpkin is a no on every list I have seen. Same goes for all squash.
Sauerkraut, as long as nothing is added to it, should be fine. Regina can eat it but just like Fred and eggs, chooses not to simply because she doesn't care for it.

if you make your own sauerkraut which is very easy to do it will contain live probiotics which interestingly do digest sugar- could be a happy symbiosis in your body store bought will almost alway be pasturized and so the health giving probiotics will all be dead

Pumpkin is a definite No-No
I have tried Sauerkraut several times in the UK, Europe and in Germany (where it comes from) find it far too sweet in all cases.
Sauerkraut is made from white cabbage. The only parts of a cabbage that are edible (to me anyway) are the green parts of the leaves I even have to cut out the white "veins" from the back of the leaves to make green cabbage edible.
I think if there are enough natural bacteria to digest all the sugar in white cabbage it would make the Sauerkraut strongly alcoholic (assuming natural yeasts do the job). ;D

I bought some German sauerkraut recently and was amazed at how sweet it was--I spit it out immediately. Then I discovered there was fructose added to it. I hadn't thought to check.
The canned sauerkraut we get in the US is low in sugar. If you can tolerate other vegetables, you should be able to tolerate sauerkraut, as long as you do not overdo it.
