www.wkyc.com/news/health/health_article.aspx?storyid=124387&catid=7WKYC is in Cleveland, Ohio. Not sure which form of FI is being discussed. I wish I lived close enough to Cleveland to view the broadcast, but it might be posted online at a later date. EDIT: Fred just contacted the station and found out it's DFI (not HFI) that's being discussed on the news. I had hopes that it would be HFI due to the age of the person with the intolerance. Sadly this is not the case.

Thanks for posting this, Laura. My son really enjoyed seeing someone young talk about fructose intolerance. He watched it three times!

I was a little amazed that she was making a sandwich with Jif peanut butter and wheat bread. I guess that just goes to show how vastly different individual tolerances can be.

LOL, yeah I was laughing about the Jif PB and obviously molasses/honey/fructose bread. I think she must be further along in her DFI diagnosis--to the point where she's adding small portions of fructose back into her diet.
Just so there isn't any confusion, HFIs can't add fructose back into their diet like DFIs can.

I was a little surprised by the bread and peanut butter as well.
Hmmm ... yet another doctor blaming it on nerves, eh?! Grrrr!!! I don't know what it is, so it must be in your head!
I'm reminded every time something slips into my diet, that there is no adding back the fructose ...

I'm just amazed that this was DFI and the girl STILL had issues with getting a diagnosis.

I sometimes wonder if Nate is really DFI. He hasn't been able to add in anything but berries and that is even pretty limited. Whatever it is, I'm also glad we've got it well controlled.
