I have not had any problems with xylitol gum. I'm not eating it in large quantities, however, and every individual has different sensitivities.

I have heard from the Boston U sugar list that it is. I purchased XyliChew and the flavor lasts only a few minutes. I was a bit disappointed.

I bought a 600 piece canister of Spry (because it was cheaper) which is also sweetened with Xylitol. I got cinnamon because it seems to last longer than other flavors. So does licorice.
I've been chewing three pieces at a time.
EDIT: Not as fond of the Spry gum's initial taste (I think it's coated in Xylitol to give it a hard candy shell), but after a minute it tastes better. Of course, that could just be the cinnamon burning off my tastebuds.
