I have lurked here long enough actually I was on here under a different name sherrid but that acct must be really old and I had to start a new one. I don't post much on here I think because I am dfi rather than hfi and don't know if people like that but I go here so often and more people are posting so I thought I would join in. I have been having trouble digesting meat pork mostly is the worse so I am having trouble getting enough protein which is frustrating.

Hi Misty!
Welcome! Glad you posted. DFI, HFI, anyone can post!
As for the protein, can you do cheese and eggs? Those may be good sources that are easier to digest.

eggs have been a problem for awhile however I tried "free eggs" or organic and they seemed better cheese seems ok although last week I broke out in a rash and the only thing I ate differently is cheese so I think I must have something going on. Does anyone know if they can test to see if you have an allergy to the hormones they put in meat?

I think that a few things may be coming into effect here when people are having problems with eggs and/or meats: - The food and/or hormones that are ingested or given to the animals may have an effect on the final product. It seems like steering towards the organic or at least more natural products would be better. - Meats are often prepared using sugars either in processing, brine, or marinade. ALWAYS question the source and preparation of the meat. Funny thing is that, before I figured out this fructose thing, I was beginning to suspect a "land animal" intolerance. I now think that it might have been the commercially made breads that I was consuming alongside.
