Hi I'm a new member, my 3 year old daughter was diagnosed with HFI in December 2007, my dietician has told me to give her Haliborange Multivitamins Liquid form, which can be bought in any supermarket or chemist. Although it is orange flavoured it is not natural flavouring, therefore safe to take.

I have an appointment with dietician on 2 February, and asked if the Haliborange would be ok, she said it was although it had orange flavouring, I will ask the question again and let ou know, I have visited the frusano site which I found really good, I have ordered the lollys and rhubard spread, although I'm not sure about this?, have you ordered anything from this site?

Not yet, But I have given an estimate of the various products, after confirmation of availability of the package in INDIA. Now I am waiting for their response. I want to get you know about frusano, I was collecting information about it and its products. For example this website was established in dec, 2005 and I found comments of different persons and families (fructose intolerant) about frusano in various articles on different sites.

Hi Irene,
I am excited to see someone else from the UK on here. We live in Sussex and have not heard of anyone else in britain who has HFI, out of interest how was your daughter diagnosed and how much help have you had. I know Scotland is a long way from us but a mere stones throw compared to the distance some of the americans are from each other, I would be interested in any brands or stores you have found helpful for products and any help groups you may have heard of in Britain.
On the subject of multivitamins, Megans dietician prescribed Seravit powder which is suitable for very sensative people, we haven't started it yet as it contains glucose powder which Megs is being tested for as she seems to have a problem with. It may be worth seeing if you can get it.
Good to meet you Charlie

Hi Charlie Nice to know we aren't alone in the UK, I also know of a 15 year old boy in the North of Scotland, and a 3 year boy in Birmingham. I was give their information through Climb, (children living with metabolic disorders) Hannah doesn't like seravit, therefore been advised to give her Haliborange liquid, I have asked dietician to double check this because of the orange flavour. She has emailed Haliborage and awaiting a reply. Have you looked at the frusano website, I have ordered the lollys and rhubard spread recently, the lollys are just like dextrose tablets on a stick, but Hannah likes the fact that she is getting a lolly. I will contact you again when I get home (in work at the moment), and let you know what diet sheets I have been given. I also have a contact at Boston University who has a laboratory researching HFI, I have just been given a contact name of the person who has been researching this for a long time. I will be contacting him soon. Irene
