Is there anyone on here with FDPase deficiency or suspected FDPase deficiency? Calvin continues to have small urinary ketones during the day that don't seem related to fructose. Not sure if we are just dealing with an additional issue or if this could be an FDPase problem. Sometimes it seems to happen after tuna fish or cheese - so maybe a protein or fat issue? We are still waiting to hear back from the GI re: the genetic test.

Just wanted to say that we now think the ketones could have been the result of an accumulation of very small amounts of fructose (from spices). We also realized that his mayo has apple cider vinegar in it. He has reacted to apple cider vinegar in the past, so this may be why it seems to be related to tuna fish.
The cheese issue seems to be related to the fact that he craves cheese when he doesn't feel well. So what seems like him reacting to cheese is really him eating cheese because he feels off. This was my observation today. It makes sense - I crave yogurt and milk now when I am reacting to something.
Still wondering if anyone visiting this board has been diagnosed with FDPase deficiency ... I suppose it is EXTREMELY rare ... Curious just because Calvin seems to have such a bad reaction to fasting overnight.
