This was the exact thing I asked my doctor and geneticist about and both said that sorbitol and fructose solutions were no longer used.

Thanks for all the medical links. I just copied your last links and infomation postedon the link which had fatal outcomes to have put in my childs doctors medical file. In general the medical community has very little understanding of this condition. Using the documentation provided by you if given to HFI'ers doctors may save their lives or prevent irreversable damage to major organs.

I also went onto the FDA site and voted no to the change in name as well.
It might be worth a few more of us putting a posting or 2 up on the site as it seems to be frequently read by the people who make decisions.
