Use a safe bread, either one made with dextrose, some french, and some heavy jewish breads are ok. Break up one loaf into pieces. Sprinkle with one pack GW broth mix Sprinkly with poultry seasoning 1 egg Enough melted butter to make everything "wet" and stick together. Mix, press together tightly and wrap with foil.
Bake at 350 for 15-30 mins.

GW is actually (I had to look at the package) GWashingtons seasoning and broth. It is a dry, powder form of a broth mix. It's usually in the broth / gravies section.
It comes in many flavors, but I only use the golden and the rich brown. I use golden with chicken and brown with beef. It also makes a good gravy if you need some.
I also put it on my roast beef before I make it. Gives it a really good flavor.
check under the heading "safe ingredient sources" under one titled "brand name quickie items" I have listed some brand names there. There are other things that I use but I would have to pretty much list my kitchen there. What interests you? What area are you from since we have discoved that not all name brands are the same in Canada. So anything that I list, be sure to double check yourself. (Bisquick being the good example)
No, peas are not ok.
Some say the sugar alcohols are not ok, some say they are. Dr Tulans site used to say that other than sorbitol, any non calorie sweetner was ok. So that was why I allowed them to start with. After Splenda came out and is not ok, I think that statement dissappeared.
But Regina has no trouble with Maltitol. Maybe because according to the site Fred listed it's not all absorbed through the intestines. Which could also be why it's not on the DHI list. That is more of an intestines problem, compared to a liver problem for HFI. I dont know for sure. There is still a lot of unknowns. All I go by is what affects my daughter and old lists.
Unfortunatly, unlike Fred, my daughter likes sweets. The only natural adversion she has is to fruit taste. We tried some sugar free, artificially flavored fruit Kool-Aids when she was small, and she didn't like them.
I glad you like the recipes. Hope they help.

Hi Tammy, I didn't remember seeing this recipe when I went searching on line tonight... I found a variation you might want to try... I am going to try the one I made today and add the seasoning you use if I can find it...
The bread crumbs or cubes you suggested (I save the heels of the bread or anything day old and freeze it until needed) 1 stick butter melted- can add more if tolerated saute celery, onions (we don't use onions) until soft in the butter 2 cups milk 2 eggs 1 1/2 tsp- 2tsp sage salt or crazy janes mixed up salt
IT WAS GREAT! It seemed funny to put milk in, and the eggs, but it really was delicious!
One of my daughter's favorite foods has always been bread stuffing, this was a treat tonight...
