Mine are cooling as I type and I can't stop from nibbling at them.
Peanut Butter No Bake Cookies
1/2 cup milk 1/2 cup margarine/butter 2 cups dextrose 3 cups quick oats 1/2 cup (natural/safe) peanut butter 1 tsp. vanilla
Mix milk, margarine, and sugar in saucepan. Bring to boil. Boil for 2 minutes (I only did 1 minute, wasn't sure how dextrose would react to boiling). Remove from heat. Add oats, peanut butter, and vanilla. Mix well. Drop onto wax paper and cool til firm.
----
I don't know about oats. I've been pretty much on a strict diet for a few months now and even the slightest bit of sugar seems to make me ill, oats still seem fine though.
I also made my cookies with Peanut Butter & Co., The Heat Is On. A very spicy peanut butter with chili powder, cayenne peppers, and crushed red peppers instead of sugar. It doesn't do that oil separation thing (which grosses me out).
The other cocoa version of this same recipe is:
-------------
Candy Cookies (or No Bake Cookies)
2 cups Dextrose 1/2 cup milk 1/2 cup butter or margarine 3 Tbsp. Cocoa 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 cup peanut butter 2 1/2 cups quick oats
Mix dextrose, milk, butter, and cocoa together and boil one minute in saucepan. Remove from stove. Add peanut butter, vanilla, and oats. Mix well. Drop by tablespoonful onto waxed paper and let cool.

I made these recently for Nate and he really liked them. I will probably reduce the dextrose for next time as they are truly candy sweet. Using spicy PB probably offset that a bit. Have you ever frozen them?
