I was just wondering what kind of bread machine to get. I have a cheap one now and it doesn't work very well the kind I had before this one worked great and I can't remember the name brand. I want a good one I am determined to make my own bread I have a hard time finding bread and if I do its so expensive. Thanks!! SHerri

Hi Sherri! I have a Breadman. It works. I can't say much beyond that. It's my first bread machine, so I don't exactly know what to expect from it. Though I can say that my bread is perpetually dense and I don't know how to make it non-dense--that is without sugar or dextrose. I'm probably just doing something wrong...

I used the recipe for bread that I found on this website but what I did was put it on dough setting when it was done I kneaded it a few times and put in a greased bread pan then let it rise for about an hour and baked it for 30 minutes it was sooo good. not dense at all for fluffy my whole family liked it. I am baking buns that way also. Its more work but until I get a new machine I will do it this way.

Whenever I make rye bread it is always too dense but normal white flour is never near as heavy as the rye. I just let it sit longer once it is kneaded. Since there isn't sugar the yeast must not ferment as quickly. I usually let it sit overnight

Aunt Millies now make High Fructose Corn Syrup Free Bread! It is awesome. ;D Check out their web site at auntmillies.com. I live in Ohio and buy mine at Meijers.

I just looked through all the bread on Aunt Millies website and I couldn't find a single one that we can eat. They all contained either High Fructose Corn Syrup, sugar, honey or molasses. Seconded. I've looked through all their bread on the store shelves and couldn't find one that was safe.

They still put sugar in some though. I'm not sure which one has no sugar and no hfcs since they list alot of breads in the no hfcs section. Do you know the exact name of the bread?
