Anyone find an approved gum. My son has been asking, he has a friend who loves his gum. I have not done much looking yet and figure one of the sugar free ones may be ok.

I love Carefree Koolerz--especially the lemonade and berry flavor-not the pina colada though. It is a bit hard to find in the stores though
do a froogle.com search for it and you will find it

Hi, I'm not sure if it has Sorbital--my guess is no, since I avoid it.
According to Amazon.com which sell it:
"Gum remains sugarless with Xylitol, a sweetener thats good"
I haven't been able to find it in stores for a while.

Xylitol is a sugar alcohol made from berries. The only difference between sorbitol & xylitol is that xylitol is limited to berries and sorbitol can include but is not limited to berries.

ewwwwwwwww, yuk. At least that would probably cure him of his desire for gum. <grin>
Are you desperate enough for some of the other alcohols, other then sorbitol itself? Ice Breakers, Bubble Breeze, (the one in the pink) has Xylitol, Hodrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, Mannitol, contains 2% or less of: natural and artificial flavors, aspartame, soy lecithin, artificial color, acesulfame potassium, gelatin, and BHT. The other flavors all had sorbitol.
I used to get some other kinds for Regina. I looked and don't happen to have any of the others right now. I haven't been getting her gum because I got a little tired of finding it places where it really didn't work too well. Next time I'm at the store, I'll see what ones they were.
