Preheat over to 350 1 pkg frozen broccoli (10 oz, I prefer florets) 1 1/2 cup cubed ham (make sure it's not cured with sugar) 14 slices white bread (HFI safe bread, of course) 7 slices white american cheese 4 eggs 2 cup milk 1/2 tsp dry mustard 1/2 tsp salt Dots of butter
Cook, drain broccoi, trim crust from bread. Arrange half of bread in baking dish. Top with cheese, broccoli and ham. Top with remaining bread. Mix together beaten eggs, milk, seasoning and pour over the top. Dot with butter.
Bake 35-40 min Let casserole stand 10 min before serving.

Tammy,
In this recipe you mentioned HFI safe bread. I would really like to try this recipe, but have been unable to find HFI safe bread. Can you please tell me what brand of bread is HFI safe. I would really appreciate it. Bryce is getting really tired of eating plain deli slice (not cured with sugar, of cours) for lunch.

We found a sour dough bread from Wonder that is great. It stays fresh and is really soft. The only place I found it was at WalMart Supercenter. It comes in a green bag. Make sure it's the regular and not the light. The light did have sugar. Go figure!! I also found alot that the bakery's in the grocery store sometimes make their own white bread that's ok. Maybe check the bakery section of the grocery store and check the ingredients in their bread.

Kristen can get "Matthews Golden white" bread. Boy what I would give to be able to buy that in my area! Sometimes we can get sourdough, french, or some heavy jewish breads from the bakery section of our local supermarket. Mostly if Regina wants white bread, we make it using dextrose. If you don't have a bread maker, it would be a very good item to put on your Christmas list. Just dump all the ingr in and turn it on. Then slice it and freeze it and pull it out as you want it. Other than that, I don't have any in my little rural area. Tammy

Hi Guys, I am in MA also, and I am fortunate to find Matthew's Golden White Bread in many grocery and organic stores and I thank Kristen daily in my heart for this info our whole family has converted... I tried to look it up on line to see if it could be shipped. the site is "under construction " right now but there is a contact number. I wonder if they would ship? the contact person on the website: Call Customer Support: 1-800-556-5829 They are distributed in Lowell, MA 01851 I was also thinking of calling the local Wonder Bread outlet to see if the sell the Wonder Sourdough Bread. I also found a Syrian - Lebanese Pocket Pita. It is a flat pita bread, and also locally baked. But this might be another type of bread to look at in a bakery or grocery bakery. They are a nice change. Great toasted too.
