Kristen (or anyone else who can help),
I am confused about the wax and green beans, on the canned beans we can get in the Midwest, the ingredients only list green beans, water and salt, yet it says there is 2 -5 grams of sugar (depending on manufacturer). Does this mean that the sugar content is not fructose and is ok to eat? I haven't tried any, but it would be nice to have something other than mashed potatoes with a meal.

They say soy beans are really healthy and was trying to figure out if or how I could do edame.
And what about soy nuts, are they beans or are they nut?

Blue Aguve is not safe. It is high in frutose . This is from the Wikipedia-- Agave syrup consists primarily of fructose and glucose. One source[4] gives 92% fructose and 8% glucose; another[5] gives 56% fructose and 20% glucose. As for green beans, I have not been able to tolerate them. I'm DFI. since last Oct. Soy nuts are soy beans cooked. I havn't tried them, yet.Soy milk seems to be okay just make sure it is orginal not he vanilla or choc. flavored. I like 8th continent brand.

I was under the impression from other members on here that soy products have fructose so we have been staying away from all soy. Whenever Matthew does get soy in a meal he gets sick so it seems to be correct.

Soy is one of those peculiar items that seems to be okay for some, but not okay for others.
I can eat the heck out of edamame without trouble. That's the only soy "product" I eat, so I can't compare it to anything else (milk, tofu, etc), but I have been known to chow down on a bowl of the stuff without an obvious reaction.

I've been doing okay with edamame and soy nuts. But I can't do soy creamer or soy coffee. I usually try soy products with some tentativeness before diving right in.
