My daughter is 22 yrs old. She was diagnosed with HFI when she was 2 1/2. It was very rare then, (at least here in the US) with almost no info on it. We've stumbled our way through the years and are willing to help any way we can.
Regina is also handicapped both mentally and physically, which seems to be uncommon with HFI. Dr. Tolans blood test doesn't show she has it, but a liver biauspy does. So I guess she must fall in the other 20%. Her HFI is very extreme. The slightest amount will make her terribly ill.
I love all the info now available on the internet. And this website is wonderful. Thanks for creating one here in the US.
