Nesquik Sugar-Free Chocolate for Chocolate Milk - This one now contains Splenda (sucralose) so be sure to check the label and if your lucky enough to find one with the old recipe, you better grad it while you can.
Lipton pasta side dishes - Stroganoff flavor
Freezer Queen cook-in-bag (Boiling Bag) Salisbury Steak in gravy. (This is good over rice, pancakes, or potatoes)
Kineret Puff Pastry Dough. Frozen. Wrap around a hot dog, Fold over with cheese in, or just bake it plain.
Uncle Wally's sugar free gourmet muffins. Chocolate. But be careful with this one. They make them 2 ways. One only uses Maltitol but the other uses Sorbitol.
Lucks Chicken and Dumplings. Both in a can and a Microwave bowl. Also, some "store brands" are ok.
Mrs T's perogies.
Keebler Ice Cream Cups. (Fill with frozen pudding?)
Jell-O sugar free pudding
Mister Salty pretzel and cheese snack pack
Ruger Sugar Free vanilla flavored wafers. (cookies)

Jimmy Deans Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuits.
I just came from SAMS Club and they had these in the frozen section. Just pop in the microwave and they are done. Nice little breakfast or snack sandwich. Will be nice to take in an ice cooler on trips when we stay at a hotel that includes a continental breakfast for us. They usually have a microwave in the employees room, if they don't in the hotel room itself.

I'm so envious!!! In Germany there are not so many quicky items without sugar. Only one kind of biscuit for kids. A girlfriend told me that she can buy a lot of sugar-free products in Italy. Why not in Germany ... If there is no sugar in an item, they add sorbitol or - very healthy - fructose! I have to cook and bake a lot by myself. And I hate it! Cati

I just came from the grocery store, and they - once again - had Weavers frozen mini drums. These are chicken nuggets. The only sugar in the breading is dextrose.
I was able to get these years ago, but I haven't been able to for a long time.
Make sure and check the ingredients because the other frozen Weaver chicken products are NOT ok.

KFC chichken uses dextrose, and it is a great treat once in a while..... that is where we go when I want to go out for lunch or dinner.

Hi Karen Are you aware that Long John Silvers is also ok? The coating they use on their fish, chicken and shrimp are fine. This makes a nice change from KFC, also. There are a couple of other ideas under "restaurants".

I have found that Kosher items usually do not contain HFCS, but may contain sugar. Kosher breads are often HFCS free too.

Fruit Fresh: www.homecanning.com/can/ALProducts.asp?CAT=482&P=1055I was prepping some carrots, celery, peanut butter and sliced apples for a cookout when I realized my apples were going to look really gross shortly after cutting them. I asked my mom what to use on the apples to keep them from browning. She told me to get some Fruit Fresh. Amazingly, I had spent the entire day before looking for Dextrose in local Amish bulk food stores (I did find Maple Flavoring, but no Dextrose). While sprinkling the apples, I happened to wonder what was this white powdered stuff. It was Dextrose! Straight up & flavored with citrus. This will make some AWESOME popsicles. I'm still trying to figure out what else to use it with. Maybe a kind of lemonaide? Lots of vitamin C in it too. I'm geeked. I made my brother taste it (he also has HFI) and he was super-excited. I told him I could make cookies out of this stuff (not the fruit fresh, but the dextrose) and he insisted I make cookies.

I bought some rice crackers the other night. They are by Royal Deli and have a little oriental man on them. They're pretty good. A little salty, but the only ingredients are Rice, potato starch, palm oil, salt, and artificial flavor. I know the artificial flavor could cause a prob, but we've had good luck. I bought a hummus dip to go with it and it's pretty tasty. Jarrett likes it The only other crackers I found were Triscuits and they're so heavy he really doesn't like them. This was great for a quick snack!!!

They sound good to me. I'm actually looking for a grahmn cracker. I haven't had any luck. I have a recipe I make with them and pudding that I know Regina would like, but I can't seem to find a cracker with the right taste.

Lactose-free people out there, you may be interested in a cheese my DH brought home from work the other day. Finlandia imported muenster cheese (sliced) says it is "naturally lactose free" right on the front of the package. Apparently, most all of their cheese varieties are lactose free. Here's the website that tells how it is possible: www.finlandiacheese.com/lactoseFree.html It also lists the retailers that sell their product. He bought it at Smart & Final (only in CA, NV, AZ and I think is called Cash & Carry in WA). It says "Product of Finland" on the back though, so it may be everywhere.

Lisa- Thank you!!!!!!!!!! I read this just before I was heading out to Costco. At a glance on the Finlandia website, it looks like their cheese is available almost everywhere there is a Costco or Trader Joes or Sams. I'm impressed with their thorough explanation of what "lactose-free" means and how they process their cheese. This means I have a whole new world open to me for boosting protein and yumminess!!! Bless your sweet little heart! mary in az

Good Morning!!! All this talk of cupcakes isn't doing much for my diet girls!!LOL!!! Anyway, where did you guys find SF gummy bears and marshmallows? I haven't seen them anywhere around here. I know there is a recipe for marshmallows in the recipe link, but I'll admit it, I'm lazy. Any other good finds lately? I feel kind of bad. My kids go to a big day care program at one of the schools in town and they get snack twice a day. I went the other day during snack time and they were having all these yummy donut holes and stuff. There sat Jarrett with his pretzels. He also has no eversions to anything so it makes it extra hard. I feel I'm making him the same lunch everyday. Gretchen I'm not sure this goes here either, but seemed like "sugar chart" wasn't really the right place. Couple of things: Nate has tried the SF Cool Whip and has a mild reaction to it. Not the behavioral stuff, but the back end mess. He absolutely loved it though. I did see SF jello snack cups in the refrigerated section. There were about 6 different flavors (and not the same flavors they sell in the boxed mixes) that might be nice for a quick and easy snack or treat for those that aren't put off by fruity tastes. We get SF gummy bears and SF Twizzlers from the diabetic candy section at the grocery store. My husband, the connosieur, tells me that it matters a lot that they are fresh (dust on the bag might be an indicator?) and says he actually prefers them to the regular sugared versions. You do have to watch consumption on them because too much maltitol can cause diarrhea in anyone. I allow Nate 2-4 gummy bears, but I know he sneaks more sometimes. I don't remember the brand name on them, so will post it later. Oh and for the marshmallows, you'll just have to break down and make a batch. They last a good long while and it only takes half an hour.
