Any issues with Glycerin or Pinto Flour? I found some cereal O's that are made using pinto flour and some vanilla with glycerin in it. I could not find anything in my many papers as to if they are ok or not. Any comments?

Ok, now to confuse the issue more. (Just like everything in HFI, huh?) Regina does fine with the sugar alcohols except sorbitol. BUT she doesn't handle glycerol as well. glycerin has to be limited. I can't explain it logically like Kristen can. I just know from lots of years of trying. I'm only mentioning this because if you're trying to track down a possible problem, this could also be it. The reason I found it is because my old dietician wasn't sure about it. She just had it "question-marked". She couldn't really get a good answer. So that was one place I looked. Regina can handle some, but not as an everyday food.
I do use the corn flours, and corn meal, but I've never tried all the other different flours you question. Tammy

Thanks! I do have several sugar charts and did not see Glycerin but, your right similar names are listed. I plan to use the vanilla (I was using the basic stuff that I know has HFCS in it so it has to be better. He does not seem to have issues with the other stuff but, I try to keep it out of his diet as much as possible.
For the flour. I am always searching for cereal. I also have a 7 month old who is showing signs of Fructose issues so, I am trying to find him easy finger foods. We have not had him tested but, when he had apple sauce he was gassy and had diareaha. It also could have been a bug or teething but, I am playing it safe for now.
Thanks Nancy
