Hi just sharing some ideas on coatings for fried or air fried meats that are HFI safe.
I would suggest most prepared (ready made) coatings might well not be safe for us, so how do we make our own? Easy!
It might not work well the 1st or even the 3rd time you try but you will get there. The traditional breadcrumb coating is easily made with a little HFI safe bread lightly toasted and left to dry out then crushed or blended. To this add some salt and pepper and herbs for a basic coating. However adding grated parmesan cheese (or similar hard cheese) will really kick it up a lot! This is specifically good to coat Pork chops in then pan roast them in an oven. The melted and roasted parmesan cheese really complements the pork flavour. Serve with fresh parsley (Persil?) It is also safe to add some hot chili flavourings if liked too. I am not sure how to make it gluten free but I am sure it can be done easily. Anyone got their own favourite flavours?
