Just a thought about Ramadan and any other religious restrictions on our diet.
It is not good for us to go long without food or water. Both can cause the body to produce Fructose as a byproduct of the fasting / dehydration caused.
While I am not absolutely certain this will cause a Hypo event or if my feelings as a child (or even as a sum what older person now) when dehydrated are directly associated with HFI or something entirely different.
All I can say is heavy exercise with either little water or food makes me feel very "wobbly" and weak even now and really knocked me about as a child.
Our Diet is already highly restricted (but far from impossible) some Religions may require certain dietary restrictions that go against all of our needs such a being a strict Buddhist and being vegetarian for example, this would almost certainly lead to a very painful death after suffering a horrible life.
I am sure no Religion would intend this to be the end result of their stated restriction. I know that under Ramadan illness and certain conditions do allow the consumption of fluids and food during the day without any guilt or religious censure.
It maybe that some extremists who are unaware of the real meaning of the Koran or other religious texts may disagree with me on this.
That is their problem, do not let them make it yours too.
Something to perhaps consider?
Keep smiling and stay safe.
P.S. I consider being a Vegan to be a religious belief as well.
