My son doesn’t eat any fish ? It has been suggested to give him a fish oil by various professionals.
Prior to his HFI diagnosis years ago , I noticed some negative reactions from using Nordic Naturals with strawberry flavor. Not understanding this then I switched him to lemon flavor which seemed fine. But now after seeing just how sensitive he is, I am thinking perhaps the lemon flavored fish oil , isn’t the best choice. Although there is not a noticeable negative affect, there might be some stress it is causing his body. And because my son has so many symptoms that still baffle me, I am looking at everything to make sure it is actually safe.
Which leads me to my question, Does anyone use an HFI safe fish oil or omega oil they can recommend without lemon flavoring ?
Does anyone think lemon flavor could be an issue for HFIers

Lemon flavouring should not be an issue. I have weird allergies / HFI type reactions to Soya and most beans, well gut reactions only to be honest. I cannot tolerate most veg oils too. Soya is worst by far, but nut oils also cause me issues. These are not HFI related to the best of my knowledge. Raw Canola oil or Palm oil is really bad! while highly refined (and potentially damaged) canola oil (known as rape seed oil) and refined palm oil cause me no digestion issues at all. I suspect that liver damage is the cause of these issues. my liver has "recovered" and is no longer "fatty" other than the bright sparkly ultrasound reflections all HFI livers show. However the areas that were fatty have been replaced by liver tissue it is what is called "fibrous" so we can assume not as effective as normal healthy liver tissue. I did not get on a safe diet until quite late in life (over 40) and Covid (the 1st time I got it pre vaccine times) really gave my liver one hell of a kicking as well. I suspect a damaged liver will stop trying to deal with the most difficult things to digest and deal with 1st.. this might be gluten for instance, or any number of other allergies / intolerances as the body is trying to find out itself what is causing it damage. This is why things like arthritis is what is called an auto immune illness when the body starts to attack itself, as with the Covid liver damage I received. It was not the Covid but my own body that damaged my liver while trying to deal with an infection it could not identify so it went looking for any inflammation or damage and thought that was what the cause was.. I also had very painful "viral arthritis" for over 6 months thanks to Covid.. I am now developing arthritis in my hands quite quickly with is a pain in all senses of the word.
I would imagine there are plenty of Krill oil or other omega 3 fish oils available in "Prill" form (small soft fluid filled capsules to swallow). they should not have any additives or flavouring in them but always check!
