Nothing pulled up in the searches, but I'm trying to find a substitute for sugar in baking recipes. Cane sugar is listed as "safe" in all the literature I have run across here in the states, but cane sugar is sucrose so shouldn't be on any "safe" lists. Am I missing something or are the lists just all wrong?
So I am wondering is there ANY SAFE substitute for "sugar" when it comes to baked goods like cupcakes, cookies or muffins for someone with HFI?

One or two HFI people have managed to bake safe cakes however not using any sort of sugar substitute. I cannot imagine any HFI recipe saying cane sugar is safe.. it is 50% fructose so anything but safe. Can I ask a question is this for an HFI adult or a child? For most HFI'ers the very smell of sweetness makes us feel sick (and keeps us safe too).
