I wish a happy and healthy new year to all of you and your beloved ones. I would like to share with you the "Hereditary Fructose Intolerance" section of the book entitled Clinical Paediatric Dietetics. This is the last edition of the book. As far as I see, this section has not been shared on the forum before. I hope I am not in breach of any copyright.
The bibliographic reference for the section is as follows:
Fiona J. White, "Hereditary Fructose Intolerance" in Vanessa Shaw, Clinical Paediatric Dietetics, Fifth Edition, Wiley-Blackwell, 2020.
The section seemed very informative and concise to me. However, when it comes to the "Foods Allowed" and "Foods to Avoid" lists, even I, who has very limited knowledge on HFI, found certain entries questionable.
The link to the section in PDF version is as follows:
Best wishes from Turkey,
Armagan

Thank you for sharing this, Armagon! I do like how concise the first page is. It provides a nice succinct explanation of the disorder. I agree that some of the dietary advice in this reference is too liberal for what most of us have experienced. Recall our discussion about endogenous fructose and excess carbohydrates in a different thread. We as patients and parents of patients will always have better lists than any researcher.

On behalf of myself, my son and members/visitors of this forum I thank you all. All the best from Turkey

Thank you for this it seems a lot of new publications are out there. It is a pity they are so inaccurate and potentially dangerous.
I will see if I can contact the authors and get them to review their book for the following publications.
Keep smiling and stay safe.

You are doing so much for the HFI patients and their families. It is startling to see those errors in medical/scientific publications. I hope the authors respond to your request.
