I appreciate everyone on this board. My son was just diagnosed and it is nice to read about other's experiences. I have the BU site and the NIH gene review. So the fun begins!  |

Welcome to the club. Of all the 7000 odd Genetic conditions this one is perhaps the best one to have! Some small comfort at the moment. How old is your son? Rest assured he will grow to be a fine strapping lad that a high meat diet always gives a child. keep smiling and breath easily we have your back. Bill A. |

I encourage you to post here as well as joining the Hereditary Fructose Intolerance page on Facebook. Bill is right; this diet is actually far healthier than most "modern" human diets.
