How does everyone keep a balanced diet when there so many foods a HFI person can’t eat? I also don’t want to have to give my son 14 vitamins to get everything he’s missing. Suggestions

Eating a balance diet is not something HFIers can worry about--in general.
We do take multivitamins to make up for the lack of fruits and vegetables. I like the nature made gel capsule multivitamins. You can try logging your son's diet into cronometer (https://cronometer.com) to see what vitamins you're missing and then provide vitamins that way. I was missing so many vitamins that it was easier for me to just take a multivitamin and consider it done.

Antonia and I use Thorne's Basic Nutrients for our HFI kiddos. It is a capsule, so I open it and mix with his oatmeal.

How does everyone keep a balanced diet when there so many foods a HFI person can’t eat? I also don’t want to have to give my son 14 vitamins to get everything he’s missing. Suggestions By eating a large selection of meats (particularly red meats) butter and sea fish. All the vitamin checks I have ever had came back perfect, even though the only vitamin I was taking regularly was slow release Vitamin C and D3 (because I work nights and live quite far North). I so eat chicken livers and very occasionally lambs Liver (about once a month) When I took a multi vitamin I developed joint problems akin to gout. This was caused by an excess of vitamin A in my diet from the multi vitamin tablets. So I stopped taking them and the pain went away. I was taking Folic acid even though my levels were always fine.. but have stopped two weeks ago due to gastro issues and trying to isolate the cause. The issues have cleared up since stopping the 4x 400mg tablets a week I was taking. Psyllium Husks are great (whole not ground) for sorting out gut issues. Hope this helps. PS there is absolutely no need diet wise to eat any vegetables and certainly no glucose or other sugars. There are many nomadic groups world wide who eat NOTHING but meat and animal fat. They live long and healthy lives usually without any modern medical support. There have been no indigenous Vegan groups anywhere in the world until lately because the diet is too poor in nutrients for people to survive for long without chemical supplements or manufactured Frankenstein foods. Just pointing out simple (unpopular) facts.
