New information regarding Parcetamol, I have been advised recently by Proffesor Cox of Addenbrooks hospital Cambrige UK, given my historical liver damage, now apparently "healed" for a given value of "healed", that I only ever take a maximum of 50% the normal dosage of Paracetamol. This is not general advice for everyone with HFI but "person by person" so relates to my situation, however the question is has your child had diver damage in the past? If so it may be a good idea to play very safe with Parcetamol and do not use for at least the 1st 6 months after diagnosis and safe diet, if posible. Even then only take 50% of the normal maximum dosage unless advised by your local well informed about HFI physician. This is just a heads up. I now have Arthritis (un related to HFI, its just my age ) and need regular pain releif. Keep smiling. I think this relates to HFI people of all ages.

Paracetamol is known as Acetaminophen in the United States and even more commonly known as its brand name, Tylenol.

interesting... It does make sense since it has been known to be more harsh on the liver. We have now been using other options and leaning away from Tylenol.
