This was a follow up to my Ultrasound and MRI scan done in April.
Apparently my Kidneys have no stones (which can occure in HFI people) Gall stones were absent as well.
In short all my organs were in very good condition "for a man of my age" You can imagine how I felt about that!
Apparently I have a few small cysts in my Liver, this is also not uncommon in "someone past middle age"..
I know I cannot complaine about such an excelent report but I would have prefered "a man of anyage" of course
Info gained from the meeting with Professor T Cox today.
Apparently there is a German support group which he visited some years ago.
There he met a lady who went into hospital in Germany to have a D&C ( a medical procedure ladies sometimes need) and left hospital 6 months later with a transplanted liver!
This was of course from the sorbitol in their IV fluids. 2 identical twin brothers with HFI had died one after the other shortly before this also caused by the Sorbitol.
They (Professor Cox and the support group), eventually got Sorbitol banned from all IV fluids in Germany and suposedly the rest of the EU.
However as we know this has been sneakily overturned and sorbitol is now back in there.
Based on his comments and my own concerns over the matter I did pick up 2 leaflets on medical alert bracelets to get mine updated.
The other snippet he let slip was the fact that even with a new liver she still had HFI! Her intestines still rejected Fructose and she could not eat any fructose or get nasty IBS type symptoms.. Intresting.. and complete confirmation of my own observations (and others) about the effect of eating fructose.
There is never enough time with him He had just flown in to the UK to see 4 patents then fly out this evening to Turkey to have 4 meetings in 4 different cities. He was not even going to have time to meet his wife!
He had to meet his colligue before he flew out to America tomorrowl
I can copy them and post them here if anyone is intrested?
