Hi all, Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I always notice when I have a really hot bath I feel like I go hypoglycemic. I've never heard of this before and just wondered if any other HFIers have experienced a similar thing? Thanks

I have issues getting hot. Hot baths do tend to make me nauseated and very uncomfortable. I can't even stand to sit in a hot tub or a sauna. I wonder if it mucks with our metabolism or something.

Fascinating! I'm glad it's not just me. Yeah I wonder why it could be, I'll do a bit of research and see if I can find anything.

Ah! I did some quick research and found out that a hot bath can lower your blood sugar levels--great for people with hyperglycemia, but really bad for anyone with hypoglycemia. The recommendation I saw was to eat a small carb-something before the bath.

Living in Florida is definitely not good for my HFI kid. He sweats constantly and the heat really bothers him. I think we will have to move to Vermont soon!
