Kristen,
I read all that you post, even though I don't always answer. I just have no ideas. I do think about, and feel for your entire family.
But this time I do have one half answer to one of your questions. They do make a "tums" type of thing. The only one I have found is "Care One". It is the generic version at Giant supermarkets. They come in many flavors, but the peppermint and spearmint are both fine as far as HFI. Regina eats 2 tablets every day, for the calcium. She has done this for months, with no problems. I do have to check each bottle every time I pick one up, as they must have different companys make them for Care One. One comes in a different shaped bottle, and has sugar, and the other one doesn't. So that means that it is a product out there. Maybe if you check your local supermarket they may have one that is ok. If you can't find any, and really think it'll help, I can probably send you a bottle. The ingredients are: calcium, magnesium, dextrose, FD&C blue #1, FD&C yellow #5 (tartrazine), flavor, maltodextrin, mineral oil, polyethylene glycol, powdered cellulose, talc. I forget if Coley does ok with the maltodextrin or not.
I do agree with your answer to marcy. I think you'd be best off to stop trying to find new things for Coley's diet. Just stick to the safe things that you know are fine. I would think this would be better for you and the baby also. You certainly don't need to be worried about him all night long, affecting your sleep and nerves. Nice, safe, calm holidays sound good for everyone.
I hope Coleys back to himself soon for you.
Tammy
