I feel for what you are going through. It is the same for us too. Each e-mail contains pockets of bad advice because she just does not completely understand what we are dealing with.
I do still like the dietician we use for the behavioral type advice that she gives. That has helped somewhat, if even just to calm me down about things. I try to focus on that aspect of her comments and send back reminders on what I am and am not willing to experiment with for the food trial suggestions.

Oh I know! My frustration was growing until this last appointment with our dietitian as well. Of course, this is the one that gave me the low fructose, but not low sucrose diet which included brown sugar. Obviously she did some reading between our last visit because this time when I told her about the soy & oatmeal issue she simply said "she is more sensitive then we thought so I would go ahead and cut them out". Big change coming from the brown sugar is okay attitude.
I am still waiting to hear from her regarding our diet analysis and her vitamin intake.

Hi all,
Well, my experience with dieticians is not very good. I consulted a grand total of 5 dieticians in a time period of 2 years. Only one told me that I might have a food allergy. The others said that I was underweight and told me to eat more.. Problem is that my liver was not in a very good condition because of all the fructose I had been ingesting, so I got even sicker.

I had an EXCELLENT dietician 20 yrs ago. She has long since retired and I've never found one like her again. Especially considering this was before the days of the computer and internet, she gave me all the info I needed. And all the things she told me back then is still good info today.
We have been to a couple of dieticians since then, and we spend more time with me telling her what Regina can and can't have. I don't waste my time anymore. Tammy
