I’m doing a happy dance right now. Those of us in the US know how difficult it is to find sugar free meats. US Wellness has sugar free jerky, bacon, ham, Canadian bacon and more. They don’t contain celery powder, onion or garlic either. Just salt. We’ve tried the beef jerky and pork bacon thus far. The breakfast sausage is next, it does have some spices but amazingly no onion or garlic. Go to their site and type “sugar free” into the search bar: grasslandbeef.com/

FYI, the bacon is a bit confusing as the listing states natural flavors. I emailed them and they assured me there are no flavors added. The natural flavor they refer to is from real hickory smoking, not a smoke flavor additive. Sure enough when I received the package only pork and salt is listed.

I am ordering all the things. This might save me on random short work trips--if the TSA doesn't confiscate my food...

Correction, I have $99 worth of meat in my cart, but I don't have enough weight so I can't place an order?? This is a weird site. I guess I won't be ordering anything.

That’s frustrating. I would try calling or emailing them. They were very responsive to my email, got back to me the same day. (Check spam though because I didn’t notice it and found it after searching for it a few days later.) Maybe they can tell you how much weight is needed. It’s all frozen, packed in a cooler and no ice packs. The meat itself acting as ice packs, they probably need a certain amount of wet meat (not dried jerky) to maintain temp.
I ordered both turkey and beef jerky (both ground and regular, plus spicy for my diabetic husband), pork bacon, breakfast sausage, Canadian bacon, shredded beef, beef brisket and keto hamburger patties. They have just about every type and cut of meat and poultry you can imagine. Maybe you could add some meat that you buy on a regular basis anyway?
We had the breakfast sausage this morning. Delicious. 😋

OOOH, Sausage! You are definitely tempting me. I'd love to make sausage for breakfast one morning. It's been so long...

I made a second attempted (added sausage!) and found this coupon code for %15 everything: 12MAH17 It ended up being almost the same price as my order without sausage once I applied the coupon! You have to order at least 7lbs of product. Apparently they will not ship anything under 7lbs. Weird.

Nice find on the coupon.
No chance that this family will have a problem with the 7lb minimum. I don’t even want to calculate how much meat my husband consumes per week. Although, I usually buy it all fresh, so freezer space may become an issue.

My mom is on the ketogenic diet and I mentioned the jerky to her. She wants me to bring it over so she can try it! She has issues finding sugar-free jerky as well and doesn't have the time to make her own jerky at home.
I'm not a big meat eater, but jerky and meat sticks are extremely helpful when I'm traveling or hiking.

I think we can thank currently trending diets such as keto and Whole30 for some of these sugar free products. Let’s hope it continues. 🙏
I made another order and accidentally ordered the beef bacon instead of the pork bacon. It’s actually pretty darn good! Literally smells like a camp fire while cooking it. I’ve been saving the rendered fat for other dishes that might benefit from the smoky flavor as well.
On the other hand none of us liked the turkey jerky. It has a rubbery texture and an almost game-y flavor that none of us could get behind.

Interesting! I'm not a fan of pork products in general. I'd like to try the beef bacon. I received my order the other day and happily have a freezer full of safe jerky now. I didn't know the jerky wasn't cured, so I'll be unfreezing it as needed for a a week of snacking. I don't know if I got the turkey jerky (I might have). Hopefully the beef jerky tastes better.

Our US Wellness Meats box arrived yesterday. So far, we have tried the following:
Uncured Pork Bacon- Good flavor,, crisps up nicely in the oven...not salty at all (we actually added some salt because we are all salt-aholics) Ground Beef Jerky- Awesome flavor...you just have to get used to a somewhat slimy, rubbery texture. I make jerky using my dehydrator (eye of round meat) and this has much better flavor. rely seems to like both mine and this one, so I am happy!

Tip: Add a little salt to the bacon before putting in the over. The bacon will shrink a bit more but comes out absolutely perfect (400 degrees for 18-20 minutes). It is a hit with all 4 of us and now the only bacon we will eat. Thanks, Antonia!!

My family is getting used to bacon without the preservatives. Once we get used to it we won’t like that bacon with the nitrite/nitrate taste.
I have tried the Canadian bacon as well as the petite ham. Very good but, again, without preservatives different from what we’re used to. The ham is much like a smoky flavored pork loin roast. I wish I knew some way to prepare it or a sauce to go with it. All the ham recipes I find are sweet glazes or sauces. But it will be good for breakfast, sandwiches, in omelettes, on pizza, in mac&cheese or pasta, etc. I used the Canadian bacon in a quiche and it was delicious.
The jerky has been really great for snacks when we’re out and about or even a quick snack at home. Loving it.
