Corn flours and corn meal are ok. I can't explain why, I don't quite know how it is all processed. I just know it was always ok, and we've never had a problem with it.
Like I've said before, When we first started this, I pretty much had to go by blind faith since there wasn't anywhere to look info up for myself. I was told it's ok, so we used it without much questioning. All corn products are ok, just not corn. It didn't always make sense, but it always worked for us.

That is probably always the hardest question of all. Is it something they ate, or just the normal flu. We had the same question on Easter Day. Regina was throwing up, diarrhea, etc. By the end of the day, though she was fine. I had a suspicion that it wasn't food because she didn't get the migraine with it. Sure enough, when we were back at the babysitters on Tues, she was telling us how they had it, too. And then at work, some other people were talking about being sick. But it is still a very hard question at the time.
Those Tings would be fine for Regina. Maybe since he has the FDPase, maybe his diet will be a little different. Or maybe he did have the flu. As far as the broccoli, it takes 3-4 days before we see a reaction. One time she ate a couple of bites at a restaurant before I tasted it and found it was seasoned. That was a Saturday night. It was Wed afternoon before she got sick. So I wouldn't rule that out. It makes it another "maybe".
But you are doing the right thing in trying to keep track of all the possibilities. Eventually, you may see more distinguishing things (like Regina and her migraine - or lack of).
One time Regina was severely sick, it took over 2 weeks, but we finally tracked it down to cookies a little girl shared with her. That time she was sick 2 weeks. And the Dr's said there was nothing to do except wait it out. So that is what we did. I'm not saying that is the best advice for your case, but that is what we've always had to do. But remember, we've never had a weight issue or anything to worry about while we're waiting, either.
My first guess would be the broccoli over the Tings. But I've been wrong before. Don't go only on my guessing. Tammy

Ok, I'm just kind of going through the posts. Now what's wrong with brocoli?? Our GI doc said that veggies were ok. He gave us this 4 page list and tried to explain that if the fructose and glucose were close in amount than it was ok. Cantalope, concord grapes, etc were even on there as ok. Anyone heard this theory on things?? Gretchen
