You guys! I was at Wal-mart yesterday, doing some reluctant shopping (not a fan of wallyworld). My husband requested some frozen pizzas. I was eyeballing the fancy varieties and says this monstrous pizza on the top shelf. It was very popular. www.walmart.com/ip/Sam-s-Choice-Italia-Spinach-Pesto-Pizza-530g/588933604I, with a big sigh, flipped it over (rather reluctantly--sometimes I'm not in the mood for disappointment) and read the ingredients. Then read them again. Then read them again. Then bought the pizza--FOR ME! I also picked up a few pizzas with tomatoes for my husband, but I finally have discovered a frozen pizza for ME. The sad thing is, I can't eat it until Wednesday night. I'm on a ketogenic diet (fats, protein, no carbs)--which is downright awful when you hate meat, fatty foods, and follow the HFI diet) until Wednesday (for non-HFI related medical reasons), but I couldn't wait to share the pizza with you guys just in case you can try it before Wednesday. It reads safe, so I'm hoping it doesn't have any of those hidden sweeteners inside. The pizza is located in the freezer>pizza section, with the other Sam's Choice pizzas. Wally world keeps surprising me with their increasing frequency of safe HFI foods.

Wow, and it is made in Italy :-) I always avoid natural flavorings and have not tried anything with Garlic. But, as he gets older, I may try this is small amounts. Thanks, Colormist!
P.S. What are other Wallyworld foods that you have found safe (recently)?

I've found Pepe's (frozen) pizza dough (in a bag) and right beside it some wonderful cheesy biscuits. My husband found safe bread on several occasions (but not consistently). I also found a Sam's Choice lunchmeat that read safe (chicken or turkey), but I'm still uncertain about the natural flavor ingredients.

Oh right! Last year, I looked for Pepe's at my Walmart and they do not carry it :-( We keep making pizzas using pita bread (Middle Eastern Bakers makes a safe brand that I find at Whole Foods.
Speaking of breads...A European Bakery just opened up nearby. They get their flour from Europe and it is white wheat, malted barley flour, salt, yeast and water. I let him eat a slice of sourdough two days in a row. He seemed fine afterward. The owner said she has even had gluten intolerant people like myself who eat this bread with no issues. I am skeptical, but I have heard the wheat in Europe is different from ours, so maybe I will try one day. I did not think malted barley flour would be OK for fructose-free but maybe it depends on the source...
