Annie's classic cheddar mac and cheese has changed their recipe and it now includes citric acid, lactic acid, sunflower lecithin and a couple other ingredients that it didn't before. Adam does eat some things with sunflower lecithin and lactic acid is made from milk, so the only thing I am concerned about it the citric acid. I have stayed away from it because it is naturally made from fruits but there is also the chemically manufactured kind and that gets really hard to understand.I just can't seem to figure out if it is safe and it seems to be everywhere.Do any of you have experience and advice about it?

I wouldn’t be worried about the citric acid. It’s used in such small amounts and it’s going to be manufactured (not extracted from fruits anymore) and should be a highly purified acid.
