Marcy, Kristin notified me that Foley I believe was possibly going to be getting a feeding tube. I dont have a lot of time right now because I'm fixing to head to school to pick up Hunter, but wanted to let you know if you have ANY questions reguarding that then ask away!! We've been thru so many, and as you know Hunter had his last one put in this past April. (still no signs of it being removed any time soon, but he's doing great!!)
I plan on trying to get back on here later today to see what all I've missed out on here lately, seems there appears to be quite a lot going on!!
Take care and I'm here if you need me!!

Hi. Have anyone tried Duocal as a calorie enhancer? I used it for a long while with Ben. He seemed to tolerate it fine and it helped keep his weight up, esp when he was having a lot of problems with fat digestion. It uses medium chain fatty acids instead of long chained...so it's a lot easier to digest. It is expensive, about $46/can at our pharmacy. I never went thru insurance, but maybe that is an option. We got a couple free samples from our GI doctor, so that's a good way to check out tolerance first. I was lucky also in a way that my neighbor uses it in her son's feeding tube and she'd pass unused cans to me if she couldn't use it all before they'd expire. Ben never seemed to mind the taste. I called it 'growing powder' and he'd actually get excited when I added it to his food/drink. Here is a link to the ingredients: www.myspecialdiet.com/Shop/Detail.aspx?p=110 carrie
