I’m sure this has been mentioned before but going through past threads I can’t seem to find an answer. I’m newly diagnosed and it seems like every website has a different food list.
Is gluten safe? And what kind of bread is ok? Is wheat ok as long as is not whole wheat?
Last night I ate gluten free pasta made with corn and rice and I added oyster mushrooms. Something in it gave me such bad pain and i can’t figure out what it was. But I was in pain all night.

Gluten is safe for HFI.
As for breads, the only safe ones are sourdough, French and rye. Always check for added sugars in any bread.
For pasta, I stick to the plain white cheap stuff.
