Hi All!
My son has been obsessed with Cheese it brand cheese it's and my mother in law found a recipe for homemade ones. I personally think they taste way better, but my son is still on the fence. so we are pretending the real ones done exist for a while, and I might go as far as putting my homemade ones in the cheese it box until he really prefers them.
But I wanted to share the recipe.
Ingredients: 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded 1/4- 1/2 teaspoon on salt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter 3/4 cup flour Course salt for sprinkling ( for the top- optional)
Instructions: add all ingredients, except the course salt, to a food processor process until a dough forms shape into a disc, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes- 1 hour remove dough from fridge and left soften a little preheat oven to 350 roll out dough until about 1/8 inch use a pastry cutter or pizza cutter to make 1 inch squares make a hole in the middle with a chopstick sprinkle with salt if you want put squares on a cookie sheet that is lined in parchment paper, or non stick foil bake 10-12 minutes, or until bottoms are golden. *let crackers sit in the pan for a minute of so before you put them on a baking rack to cool. Crackers will continue to crisp up as the cool so don't over bake store in an airtight container.
Enjoy!
