Hi July,
The sauce for the chicken, sounds good - not sure anyone here would be able to eat it. I use dry herbs on chicken before grilling - it’s simple and yummy.

This recipe is simply not in any way HFI safe!
Fruit??
Really?
july541 do you understand anything at all about our condition?
I think not.
Please learn a little before risking poisoning us with another of your recipes.

The one exception in fruit that works for me is lemon -- I marinate + baste chicken breasts with olive oil, salt + pepper, and lemon juice, then grill. Yum!
The lemon juice may not work for the most sensitive HFI folks; but remember, we come in various degrees, from mild disease to super severe.

Yes I use Lemon Juice as well although I find a little grated lemon zest flavours food nearly as well.
Some Lemons are sweeter than others so its a variety type thing again I suspect.
In the UK all the lemons we get are picked green and ripened in the warehouses (by adding a gass I believe) which starts the ripening process.
So our Lemons are likely to contain far less Fructose than one which is ripened on the tree and freshly picked.
We sometimes get these in the shops I suspect they look far healthier and fresher than our usual Lemons and have a "tighter and smoother" skin if that makes any sense to anyone?
TO suggest Apricots or Peaches are safe to eat though is totally misguided and I suspect July 541 is just a spammer paid to promote the recipe web site as widely as (he /she) can so they make money on every click people make viewing the site and recipes.

Good grief. Peach. It's like a bad word.

Can the moderator delete this thread since it is potentially dangerous to someone new to this forum who doesn't thoroughly understand the condition. I hope the original post was made in ignorance not malice.
