I have been doing some research into safe pretzel brands that are HFI safe for my son. I came across some that contained good ingredients. I am not sure if spelt flour is an HFI safe flour. Does anyone know if it is safe?
thanks

I saw some at the farmers market and have been wondering the same thing. Thanks for asking. I hope someone knows!

My son seems fine with the Snyder's Snaps and Butter Snaps, but they have Canola Oil in them, which I know some HFIers have trouble with. They do not have spelt flour.

I think its fine although the fibre content might be higher than normal white flour.

My son does not do well with too much wheat, but he is always asking for pretzels. I found Neman's Own Organic Spelt Pretzels today and he loved them. I will look for a reaction. But, even with white flour (which is purportedly safe), there is a threshold for him - and he does not do well with malted barley flour which is in almost all other pretzels.
