Last weekend I headed over to my parents' home for a send-off ceremony (my brother is heading overseas for the national guard). We were all sitting at the table, when my sister mysteriously began bringing something ceremoniously into the kitchen. She sat this down in front of me: Since I was very little, my family has always made me a cake. I was allowed to pick out the cake design and I always blew out the candles. We had cake, ice cream, milk, and potato chips. The candle-blowing and potato chips were for me (and my HFI brother), as were any cake-topper decorations. Everyone would eat cake while I opened presents, drank milk, and ate chips. I am a very big fan of Godzilla and dinosaurs in general, so I was so happy to see this cake! It was glorious! Nobody ate it because it was so perfect. It was the first time I had a cake and nobody ate it! We just all marveled in the glory that was this confectionery creation.
