Just wondering how long reactions typically last. I find that I will Get hypoglycemic right after ingesting something bd, but then my blood sugar is all over the place for the next whole day or more.. Is this typical? For hypoglycaemia to continue? Thanks!

My hypoglycemia typically lasts about a week. I get hypoglycemic from eating a quarter portion of plain black beans or lettuce. It makes it rather difficult to exercise. I typically keep a snack food in my purse if I know I'm going to be without food for more than 4 hours.
My guess is that it's not a quick and easy process to flush the liver of fructose.
Then again, since there are no purity standards around fructose (like with peanuts, wheat, dairy, and soy), that it is possible we're eating fructose every day without even knowing it. Maybe if you were able to find a butcher that didn't season or plump his meat and made all the other foods from scratch, then you could be certain that no extra fructose was sneaking into your diet, but that sounds exhausting.

Goodness me! Ok this makes a lot of sense... It's taking me a while to get over last weeks slip up. White sourdough bread is safe right? Just plain sourdough? I am sensitive to fructans as well so regular wheat is iffy for me but I hear sourdough is low fructans So I was thinking of trying it. Thanks so much for your quick replies!

Sourdough may or may not be safe. It depends on the ingredients. It is a bread that has a higher probability of being safe rather than unsafe, though.
