Have anyone else here felt the lactic acidosis that accompanies FBPase? Not sure if it´s a symptom of regular HFI as well, but I believe it is common amongst the different GSDs (glycogen storage diseases), FBPase deficiency and the galactosemias.
I have never thought about it before, but when I read about this a few days ago I realized that I have been getting these weird and unexplained sensations in the past that might be symptomatic of lactic acidosis. I mean, I have gotten the same feeling in my body and muscles as you normally would get from working out and "feeling the burn". The muscles feel kinda sore and heavy, but it´s not really DOMS as that is something that comes later. It´s more like your muscles stiffen up. But, unlike when getting this from training I have also had it happen "out of the blue". For example just when I have been at home.
Unfortunately I don´t really remember if it´s been connected to eating at all and especially not ingesting fructose, but I sure do suspect it.
For those interested: the lactic acidosis is caused in Fructose-1,6-bipohosphatease deficiency due the fructose-1,6-biphosphate accumulating. But, due to the defect being different from regular HFI, the F-1,6-BP can still be converted to lactate, causing lactate and H+ to accumulate in the blood.
