I'm wondering if everyone has at least one symptom in common. Would it be diagnostic if my son had hypoglycemia after eating/drinking something with fructose in it? What about just ketosis? Can you have just one lab finding and it be "enough"?
Can they just give him some soda? orange juice? How much does he need? he is 67 lbs. or 31 kgs. Does it have to be an IV? He hates IV's.
Is hyopglycemia anything under 70? What if his glucose just drops but doesnt get hypo? I'm trying to be smarter then our Dr's, because they don't know what they are doing and I want the least invasive test possible. They are trying to arrange a hospital fructose test. I don't want them screwing this up.
Also how long should they monitor? I see some places measure up to 90 minutes, others 2 hours. Some even longer.
Thanks in advance!!!
Thanks, Valerie

You need to leave this to medical professionals. They are capable.
And... in case others question, the IV is for protection/hydration (and metabolic data collection), not as a medium to administer fructose.
