I came across Sndyder of Berlin Hulless Puff'n Corn and was wondering if it is HFI safe. I looked at my safe vs not save list and the ingredients seems ok except for corn, but the ingredients are listed in a confusing way so i dont know if it truly means corn or another form of corn.
The ingredients are: Corn Meal Vegetable Oil (contains one or more of the follwoing: partially hydrogenated(Soybean and/or cottonseed) soybean, cottonsead, corn and/or sunflower oil) Salt
So the red ingredients are the confusing ones for me.
Any suggestions or thoughts if this would be safe? Thanks!

The way I would read that is that the corn is an oil. So can be all those different oils in there: soybean, cottonseed, corn and/or sunflower. The soybean and cottonseed are partially hydrogenated. Yes, it's confusing! Don't know if I answered your question.

Yeah, I think those listed after the colon are oils--I've seen other snack foods list their oils like this. I've never heard of corn oil before, though! I've never had any problems with oils--barring the infused oils (onion-infused oils particularly).

ok thanks! I am going to give it a try and see how he does. Right now I had been buying the pirates booty brand of cheese curls and he likes them, but these taste better to me personally.

Watch out for HFI type gut symptoms (but no Hypo) with Soybean oil and protein. No idea if its an allergy that's HFI associated or not but anything other than Soy Sauce (Kikkoman) gives me a bad kicking.

Those would be safe in a normal serving size amount for Wyatt. I would avoid any more corn for the next few days (as in tortillas, etc) but he'd eat them up happily for sure!
