Over Christmas I got a HUGE sinus headache (allergies). It got to the point that my head was throbbing and my eyes started watering. I finally caved and asked my mom if she had any allergy meds (I think she has some plant in her house that I am highly allergic to). My mom said she had Tylenol Sinus (which is a pain killer combined with an antihistamine).
As I was popping the pills in my mouth, my mom blurted out "those have sugar on them!" This was right about the time that my tongue told my brain "these have sugar on them!"
I spit the pills out and rinsed my mouth. I wasn't about to swap one pain for another.
My mom reminded me that I had told her last time I was there that Tylenol Sinus was candy-coated.
I made a face.
My mom suggested I rinse the sugar off the pills.
I held the light blue pills under running water until they were white again (all over--not one speck of blue).
And suddenly I had sugar-free pills!
I thought I'd share for those of you stuck in a similar situation on a day where all stores and closed and the only medicine available to you is sugar-coated pills.
