Hope everyone is well! As we continue to work to expand Wyatt's diet, I occasionally run into "artificial flavors" in foods that are otherwise safe. If I remember correctly we were told that natural flavors weren't safe but that artificial flavors might be ok. That would've been by his dietician, though, and she does not have HFI. What are your experiences with artificial flavors?

I'm not sure what all entails artificial flavors, so I would be wary. I mean, natural flavors of course can include fruits, vegetables, and naturally occurring sugars. There's no reason why artificial flavors couldn't include man-made sweeteners. Ethyl maltol is an artificial sweetner (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethyl_maltol), I don't see it on the list of unsafe sugars, but the description is making me gag.

Ok. I will take a call the company approach, not that they like to release information like that anyways, but it's worth a shot.
