Hi
Just a quickue yes the benifber is great for my kid i went through what you are going through, i found giving pain meds helped until she was pain free and flowing, the benifibre will cause wind and pain so use maybe one teaspoon a day for four days then two and i find i sometimes see C returning in 1 BM but it never takes hold at this dose.
Increase the water intake through the day even by bribing useing daddy's cup etc until you know the amount is around the 1.3 litre level including milks.
The benifibre is from Guar Gum
Guar Gum
Many leguminous plant seeds contain Galactomannans. Guar Gum is known for its thickening properties. It is obtained from the seeds of Cyamopsis tetragonolobus, an annual leguminous plant originating from India and Pakistan. It is also cultivated in the United States.
Guar fruit is a pod; its seeds have an average diameter of about 5 mm. They contain a reserve substance, the albumen. From the outside to the interior, we have:
the hull,
the albumen or endosperm, which is light cream in color. It is made up of two hemispherical segments (splits) which surround the germ. Its major constituent is the polysaccharide,
the germ, rich in protein.
Interest for Guar Gum is fairly recent: its initial development was due to a lack of Locust Bean Gum in the 1940s. Its large scale industrial production dates from the 1950s

Guar Gum flour is obtained as follows:
first, the grain is husked
after moderate crushing, the splits are separated from the germ
the flour is obtained simply by grinding the splits.
Texturant Systems Guar Gum flour is produced in our plant of Baupte (Normandy), France.
A little bit of research i found

Fructose feeding provides a dietary model of insulin resistance accompanied by hypertriglyceridemia. We examined the effects of guar gum hydrolysate (GGH), a soluble and fermentable nondigestible saccharide with low viscosity, on glucose intolerance and hypertriglyceridemia in rats fed high-fructose diets. Rats were fed either a dextrin-based or a fructose-based diet with or without GGH (75 g/kg) for 30 d. Oral glucose tolerance tests (OGTTs) were performed 0, 14, and 28 d after feeding. High-fructose feeding negatively affected glucose tolerance on d 14 and 28. The addition of GGH to the diets improved glucose intolerance on d 28. Fructose feeding induced hyperinsulinemia after an oral glucose load; this was also improved by GGH on d 28. The glycogen concentration in the gastrocnemius muscles of rats was lowered by dietary fructose, and GGH supplementation abolished this decrease. Triglycerides in the plasma and livers of rats fed fructose diets were elevated, and the increases were ameliorated by supplemental GGH. Regardless of the type of carbohydrate, GGH enlarged the cecum and increased the cecal SCFA pools.
In conclusion, supplemental feeding of GGH to rats improved the glucose intolerance and hypertriglyceridemia induced by a high-fructose diet.
Possible mediators of these beneficial effects of GGH are the SCFAs produced by microbial fermentation of GGH in the large intestine.
Don't try and hurry the fix and another help with pain is keeping lots of nappy rash cream around the anus until all is fine again.
Good luck.
I'm read the post about dextrose and glucose we also have major difficultie with give glucose not the dextrose. It first started when we were first given the diet and told to sprinkle some on the food. well maybe after the test is run tomoorow i'll tell you just what happen. It lookes interesting.
