Yesterday I was given a Pneumococcal Polysaccharide Vaccine shot in the doctors office and had a hypoglycemic reaction with whole body shaking within 10 minutes of injection time; followed by sleepiness, plus a very tired, wrung-out, spacey feeling lasting a couple of hours until I could get home and eat and sleep if off. Today, I am still a bit groggy. Have searched the internet trying to find out what the chain of sugars are they use in the polysaccharide [usually a starch made up of a long chain of monsaccharides]-- but no luck. This reaction is not one of the those listed as a usual side-effect. Anyone else having problems with vaccines?
